RB Leipzig have reportedly made their first move to sign Ademola Lookman from Everton.
According to claims from Sky Sports, the Bundesliga side have opened the bidding for the England Under-21 international, who failed to make an impact at Goodison Park last season.
Lookman was used sparingly by Everton manager Marco Silva, and as such, speculation has gathered regarding a potential return to Germany for the dynamic attacker.
The 21-year-old had a stint with Leipzig on loan in the second half of the 2017/18 season. Under the tutelage of now-Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, he scored five goals from just 11 outings.
Sky Sports’ report does not specify just how much the Bundesliga club have put on the table for Lookman, but recent claims indicated that they were readying a bid worth around €20 million.
Everton are now understood to be weighing up whether to sell the former Charlton Athletic youngster or not, with his future on Merseyside currently uncertain.
