Bayern Munich could land Liverpool target Timo Werner on a free transfer next summer.
According to Bild, Bayern could sign Werner at the end of next season following the expiry of his RB Leipzig contract.
Werner’s current Leipzig contract expires in the summer of 2020, with the forward yet to agree fresh terms with the German club.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Werner, but Bayern now appear to be the favourites to sign him.
The 23-year-old striker scored 19 goals in all competitions for Leipzig, after netting 21 times the season before.
Since joining Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016, Werner has scored 61 goals in 114 appearances for Leizpig, including 50 in the Bundesliga.
Werner has also been capped 25 times by Germany at international level, scoring 10 times for his country.
He holds the record for being the youngest ever player to reach 150 Bundesliga appearances – hitting the landmark at 22 years and five days old.
