Manchester United and Tottenham are both joining RB Leipzig in expressing an interest in Norwich City defender Max Aarons.
According to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, all three clubs are interested in signing the defender, who has also emerged as a potential target for Crystal Palace.
This comes from United’s interest in Palace defender Aaron Wan Bissaka, with Aarons being earmarked as a potential replacement.
After being named as the EFL’s Young Player of the Season, it is clear that his performances have not gone unnoticed in Germany either.
A number of Bundesliga clubs, including Leipzig, are known to be keeping tabs on young English talents in a bid to lure them over to Germany following the success of Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund.
Norwich themselves are preparing for their return to the Premier League this summer and after the crucial role Aarons played in their promotion, you can imagine that they will be desperate to keep hold of the player.
English youngsters who could head to Germany
Emile Smith Rowe
Didn’t quite the chance to really show what he could do while on loan with Leipzig last season.
If he doesn’t break through at Chelsea, there will be numerous clubs ready to offer him first-team football in Germany.
Another Chelsea player. Jake Clarke-Salter is coming off the back of a great season with Vitesse in the Eredivisie.
If he continues to find first-team football hard to come by at Everton, he may well be tempted by a return to Germany.
