Get German Football News have reported that Jamaican winger Leon Bailey may be staying at Leverkusen for yet another season.

According to reports, Bailey’s agent, and subsequent stepfather Craig Butler has been quoted in Bild saying:

He feels very well in Leverkusen.

At the moment I can say: one more year in Leverkusen would be the best for Leon.

These quotes come at a time where the winger has been heavily linked to recent Europa League champions Chelsea, as they look to replace the recent departure of Eden Hazard, who completed his reported £88 million transfer to Real Madrid.

However, the club’s current transfer ban is still in place, stopping Chelsea from signing any players until the summer window of 2020, so any negotiations that may be in the works for the winger could well be in vain.

Bailey made 39 appearances for Leverkusen last season, netting five goals and managing three assists across all competitions.
