Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly ready to sign Werder Bremen’s Max Kruse, after selling Julian Brandt to Borussia Dortmund.
Kruse, who is leaving Werder Bremen this Summer with his deal set to expire, has been linked to a number of clubs.
Leverkusen are ready to make a move for Kruse, especially after Brandt departed to join Dortmund.
This would hamper Jurgen Klopp’s plans of signing the attacker, who can play in a variety of positions.
The Bundesliga side are reportedly very keen on a move for 31-year-old, who could be signed for no fee this Summer.
Kruse scored eleven goals and assisted ten times in the Bundesliga, and was a key man for Bremen this season.
Other sides linked with a move for the veteran forward include Roma, Tottenham Hotspur and Fenerbahce.
The race to sign Kruse is expected to be a tight affair, with the German being handed many promising opportunites.
