Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri is set to leave Spain this summer amid interest from Bayern Munich.
The report claims that Premier League champions Manchester City are to rival Bayern for his signature, with Rodri’s release clause set at €70m.
One of the two clubs will have to match his release clause in order to secure a deal for the Spanish international, as they both look to improve their midfield options ahead of the next campaign.
Rodri has impressed in midfield for Atletico this season, after joining the club from Villarreal last summer for a fee in the region of €25m. He made 33 appearances in La Liga for Atletico this season, scoring twice from midfield.
The 22-year-old has been capped six times by Spain at international level, making his debut against Germany in Dusseldorf back in March 2018.
