Bayern Munich have “opened talks” with Manchester City over a move for Leroy Sane, according to the Daily Record.
The German has suffered a frustrating time of things of things this season, despite notching his second Premier League title in a row.
The winger has found himself playing second fiddle to Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva, both of whom have been undroppable for City.
There have even rumours that Sane’s relationship with Pep Guardiola is on the decline, with the City boss visibly angry with the German’s cameo in last week’s 1-0 win at home to Leicester City.
He has also failed to agree a new deal at the club and City are concerned that they could lose him for a cheaper amount as his current contract gets closer to expiring.
It is now being reported that Sane could head to Bayern this summer, as the Bundesliga giants look to add fresh legs to their squad.
With legendary wing pairing Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery both leaving at the end of the season, new faces are required out wide.
Sane would fit the bill in that respect, with the 23-year-old a potentially world class player on his day.
