Newcastle United could make a move to sign Kevin Trapp from Paris Saint-Germain following his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to claims from reputable French Twitter outlet Paris United, the Magpies are in the running to the sign the goalkeeper, who has had a good season in Germany.
Trapp arrived at Eintracht after being frozen out as PSG, with Gianluigi Buffon and Alphonse Areola battling for the number one spot under manager Thomas Tuchel.
The German has performed well in his homeland and helped Adi Hutter’s side reach the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they were knocked out by Chelsea over two legs after a penalty shootout.
If Eintracht are to pursue Trapp again this summer, though, it seems they will face competition, with Newcastle understood by Paris United to be potential suitors.
This comes after contact with the goalkeeper’s agent Pini Zahavi, who is believed to have offered his services to the Magpies ahead of the summer transfer window.
