Chelsea’s youth striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale is set for a move to the Bundesliga, with Hoffenheim said to be close to signing the player.
Sky Sports report that the 19-year-old will make the trip to Germany this week for a medical ahead of a potential free transfer to Hoffenheim.
Taylor-Crossdale has enjoyed a prolific career in the Chelsea youth team, becoming the top goalscorer in the U18 Premier League back in 2017.
Sky Sports add that Chelsea initially wanted to keep the youngster, offering him an improved deal, but he now looks set to depart for nothing this summer.
Taylor-Crossdale will be one of many other young English talents playing in the Bundesliga, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson thriving in Germany’s top division this past season.
Arsenal’s Nelson has enjoyed a spell on loan at Hoffenheim, scoring seven goals during his time in Germany.
Chelsea will be unfortunate to lose this young prospect, as Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri faces a tough season following the club’s transfer ban.
The Blues will not be allowed to sign any players for the next two transfer windows unless it is successfully appealed or frozen through the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Chelsea's youth stars who could leave the club in the near future

Daishawn Redan is already attracting interest across Europe after thriving at youth level.
The Dutchman is an exciting prospect and will no doubt want first-team football in the near future.
George McEachran is a talented midfielder and will know all about the risks he faces by staying at Chelsea for too long if first-team football is not guaranteed.
