Bayern Munich are reportedly not going to make a move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, handing a big transfer boost to the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
According to Sport Blid, as cited on Get German Football News, Bayern Munich will not be pursuing a move for the forward who has been a player to watch in the Ligue 1 this season.
Franck Ribery is leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season and Pepe had been earmarked as a player who could replace the Frenchman.
The Ivorian joined the French side in the summer of 2017 from SCO Angers for a fee of around €10 million and he has gone on to be one of Lille’s biggest players.
Pepe has made 76 appearances for the French side and has scored 35 goals and produced 17 assists since his arrival.
This season alone, the forward has scored 20 goals and has provided 11 assists in just 35 league games as Lille look set to finish second behind champions PSG.
Despite Bayern losing interest in the forward, English sides Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all remain keen to bring Pepe to the Premier League.
