German full-back Jeremy Toljan is reportedly being chased by Serie A giants Napoli, who are rekindling their interest in the player.

Currently on loan at Celtic, the Borussia Dortmund defender joined the German side in 2017, and then made the loan move to Scotland.

So far for Celtic, the 24-year-old has made 12 appearances, and with Hoops boss Neil Lennon showing no intention of signing or extending the full-back’s loan, his future seems to be clouded.

Napoli are the club that have raised their interest in the player, however, there are some doubts about whether they should make the move.

According to a report from the Daily Record, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport say that the doubt in Toljan’s move comes from his fitness levels.

Dortmund have some quality full-backs at their club already, so it may be difficult for Toljan to find a spot in the starting XI upon his return to the parent club.

Although his contract isn’t up until 2022, Carlo Ancelotti will need to quickly assess whether the German international will be a good fit for his Serie A outfit.
