Arsenal have reportedly taken an interest in Hoffenheim’s German international midfielder Kerem Demirbay.

The Gunners, and several other Turkish sides, are reportedly interested in a move for the Hoffenheim midfielder, according to a report from Bild.

Demirbay, who has played 22 times in the Bundesliga this season, scoring four and assisting six, is seen as a potential replacement for the outgoing Aaron Ramsey who is joining Juventus at the end of his contract with the Gunners.

Hoffenheim could seek over €20-€30 million for the midfielder, with a release clause being in the midfielder’s contract.

Galatasaray and Besiktas are also interested in the midfielder, who could hope to lure Demirbay to the country his represented at youth level with his parents being Turkish.

The Gunners will need to replace Ramsey this transfer window though, so could look to Demirbay to be the person to replace the Welshman.

Ramsey is set to join Juventus on a bumper new contract after failing to agree on a new deal with Arsenal.
