RB Leipzig CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff has revealed that Timo Werner does not want to extend his contract with the club.
Leipzig have been keen to tie him down to an extended deal, but Werner has told that club that he would rather not commit his future at this point.
The Daily Mail claim that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all interested in Werner, who has been in impressive form for Leipzig this season.
Werner has scored 14 and assisted five in the Bundesliga, which has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest club.
When asked about Werner’s contract situation, Mintzlaff said this:
We want to extend it with him, but he has signalled to us that he would rather not extend.
Werner’s current contract with Leizpig expires at the end of next season and the Germany outfit will not want to lose the German international on a free transfer.
