Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United target Nicolas Pepe is set to leave Lille, according to the club’s chairman.
The French-born Ivorian winger has been making headlines since joining from Angers in 2017, scoring 13 and assisting five in 36 Ligue 1 games last season before building on that with 18 goals and 11 assists in 31 this term.
Lille chairman Gerard Lopez has been very open about the club’s stance on Pepe’s future, revealing to Telefoot, as cited by Goal journalist Ronan Murphy on Twitter, they can’t afford him anymore.

The French club are having a great season and currently sit in second behind Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, albeit by 20 points, but are five points ahead of Lyon in third with a game in hand.
Pepe’s brilliance has played a big part in Lille’s success and it’s no surprise he’s now set for a big move. He’s thought to have Premier League suitors in Arsenal and Man United with the French champions-elect also eyeing a move.
The Bayern links make sense, however, considering Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben have a combined age of 71.
It looks set to be an interesting summer with Pepe almost certainly on the move. Whichever club seals the signing of the 23-year-old will be gaining quite the talent.
