Bayern Munich have not made contact with Everton over a prospective deal to sign Henry Onyekuru, despite initial reports.

Earlier this week, speculation had suggested that Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic had been in touch with Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands to enquire about Onyekuru’s availability.

The Nigeria international forward is currently on loan with Galatasaray, and has yet to make an appearance for Everton since signing for the club in the summer of 2017, due to a previous inability to land a work permit.

And while reports had suggested that the German giants were making their move to sign the 21-year old, with a fee of £35million being touted, the Liverpool Echo have confirmed that no contact has been made.

While Onyekuru’s future appears uncertain due to his lack of a work permit, Everton are hopeful they will be able to secure a deal for him to join them ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato claim that Napoli and PSG are also interested in Onyekuru this summer, with the Parisian giants ready to offer €20million for the attacker.
