Bayern Munich have received a boost ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Liverpool, with the news that David Alaba and Kingsley Coman will both be available.
The tie is finely poised after a tense 0-0 draw at Anfield in the first leg, during which it appeared as if Bayern boss Niko Kovac was happy to take a goalless draw back to Bavaria.
It had appeared as though the Croatian tactician would be faced with a selection crisis for the encounter on Wednesday, with his squad ravaged by injury and suspension.
However, he will have David Alaba and Kingsley Coman at his disposal, per a Sky Sports report.
The availability of Coman will perhaps be most welcome, with the rank of winger looking decidedly thin last week when it was thought the Frenchman would be inactive for the match.
Alaba will sure up the left perimeter of the defence, and remains a worthy opponent for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
