Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe may stay in Germany beyond the end of the season, it is being reported.
According to Sport Bild, as cited on Sport Witness, another loan spell in Germany is not being ruled out at this stage.
It was reported that Leipzig do not have the option to buy Smith Rowe as part of their loan agreement with the Gunners.
Arsenal still have big hopes for the player, with Smith Rowe very highly thought of back in London.
It is being claimed that should Smith Rowe go on to impress before the summer, he could be brought back into Unai Emery’s first-team squad next season.
However, should that not be the case and regular first-team football remains unlikely at the Emirates, the player could find himself back in the Bundesliga for the 2019-20 season.
Arsenal will be watching his performances with interest between now and the end of the season.
