Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi was coy when quizzed about speculation linking him with a move to Bayern Munich this month.
The Bundesliga side reportedly matched the Blues’ £35 million valuation of the player on Tuesday afternoon with their fourth bid, which doesn’t include a buy-back clause, but it isn’t yet known whether it’s been accepted.
Ahead of his side’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday evening, the 18-year-old winger made it clear that he and his teammates were fully focused on the game, which his side lost 1-0 thanks to a Harry Kane penalty.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, he said:
I’m fully focused on the game and just got to see how the result goes. We’re all ready and all determined to work our hardest out there. I’m fully focused.
It is believed that Hudson-Odoi has told Maurizio Sarri that he wants to leave the club during the winter transfer window, but the Blues may not be pressured into letting him depart because of the 18 months remaining on his contract.
Juventus and Bayern’s German counterparts RB Leipzig are both said to be in pursuit of his services, but the Allianz Arena appears to be his most likely destination.
