Fortuna Dusseldorf will battle the likes of Huddersfield Town and Bursaspor for Toulouse attacker Firmin Mubele, according to a report from L’Equipe.
The 24-year-old has struggled to secure game-time on a regular basis in Ligue 1 this season. He has made only three top-flight starts and has been forced to settle for cameo appearances throughout the campaign so far.
It is believed that Fortuna boss Friedhelm Funkel is on the lookout for added attacking inspiration in the January transfer window, with the team scoring just 19 goals in 17 Bundesliga games this term.
However, they will face competition in their pursuit of Mubele. Premier League strugglers Huddersfield are noted as potential suitors as David Wagner looks to help the club out of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Belgian club Standard Liege are also said by L’Equipe to be interested in landing the DR Congo international.
Bursaspor, meanwhile, are looking to complete a loan deal for the versatile forward. The Turkish club are reported to be pursuing a temporary transfer that will last until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
