Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Christian Pulisic has joined Chelsea but will remain in the Bundesliga until the end of the season on loan.
The club tweeted to announce that the winger has reached an agreement to join the Premier League side at the end of the season.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool were heavily linked with moves to sign Pulisic, but it is Maurizio Sarri’s men who have won the race to sign him.
Chelsea are believed to have spent around £58 million to secure the winger’s services ahead of next season.
With Dortmund pushing for the Bundesliga title this season, they were keen to keep hold of the player, despite the American falling out of favour at the club.
Chelsea are beginning to plan for life without Eden Hazard, with the Belgian looking increasingly likely to leave the club in the summer.
