Bayern Munich are keen to sign Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi on a permanent deal as the youngster continues to be frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge, according to a report on the Mirror.
The defending Bundesliga champions want to follow in the footsteps of their rivals Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, who have both had huge success through the signings of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is understood to be open to letting the 18-year-old leave on loan in January.
Hudson-Odoi’s Chelsea contract expires in 2020 and Bayern would rather him permanently, whilst Chelsea are seeking a loan to a fellow Premier League club.
The winger shone for England during the U17 World Cup and is looking for some regular first-team football to continue his development.
Bayern have already signed highly-rated Canadian youngster Alphonso Davies and are looking to implement younger players into the squad.
They will face stiff competition for Hudson-Odoi, whether on loan or on a permanent deal as there are several clubs monitoring his situation.
