Borussia Dortmund will host Bayern Munich at Signal Iduna Park this weekend knowing that a victory will see them open up a seven point gap between themselves and the champions.
Dortmund have had an amazing start to the season and remain the only undefeated team in the Bundesliga, whilst Bayern’s form has been patchy at best. The champions have already been between twice; 2-0 away to Hertha Berlin and a humiliating 3-0 loss at home to Borussia Monchengladbach
Those who are interested in German Bundesliga odds at 888sport will notice that, despite their recent form, Bayern will going into the game as favourites, most likely because it’s a game they can ill afford to lose, even at this stage of the season.
Bayen have won the last three meetings between the two clubs in all competitions but Dortmund will go into the game full of confidence.
Paco Alcacer, Marco Reus and England’s Jadon Sancho have all been amongst the goals this season and they’ll all fancy their chances of adding to their tallies when Bayern come to town.
Robert Lewandowski is the main goal threat for Bayern. He’s scored seven goals whilst Munich’s second top scorers, Arjen Robben and James Rodriguez, have just three goals each, which is why they’ve been linked with Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son.
Bayern have won the Bundesliga for the last six seasons and Dortmund are desperate to end that streak of title wins for their big rivals.
If they can continue their excellent run of form this weekend, then they’ll likely win the game and put a significant amount of distance between themselves and the champions.
With the likes of Lewandowski, Rodriguez, Robben, Alcacer, Reus and Sancho on display this weekend, the game should be an absolute cracker and anyone who tunes in will likely be treated to an amazing game between two very good, and very competitive, clubs.
