Borussia Dortmund are being linked with a move to sign Atlanta United’s Miguel Almiron, as claims of a move to Arsenal being played down.

Atlanta’s president Darren Eales, who was speaking on The Game radio show, as reported by TEAMtalk, has laughed off claims that the player could be on the move as little as £11 million in the January window.

Reports have suggested that the player is set to make the move to London, but there have been contrasting claims made about the deal.

Eales quotes the reported price at £11 million, while other claims have suggested Arsenal would be willing to pay £15 million for the player.

The Atlanta chief questions some of the reports after many misspelt his name when quoting him.

So there were two clues as to why that was total nonsense, one was Eagles, not Eales. And the other was the suggestion of £11m because it would have to take at least triple that for me to even get out of bed and think about any bids for Almiron.

So everyone knew, as soon as they saw that figure, that it was a load of rubbish.

Almiron has attracted a wealth of interest after impressing in the MLS.

Leicester City have also been credited with an interest in recent days, while Atletico Madrid have linked too.
