German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Arsenal target Nicolas Pepe from French Ligue 1 side Lille, according to a report on Talksport.

Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the forward for some time now along with fellow Premier League club Manchester United, but Bayern Munich are reportedly also interested in securing his signature.

The 23-year-old has been in brilliant goalscoring form this season for Lille, netting six times in nine Ligue 1 appearances.

His fine form has put Bayern on alert, and after making a poor start to the season, they are eager to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window.

Lille have reportedly valued the winger at £30m and that is a small price to pay for a club like Bayern.

If Pepe continues his fine form, then there could be a huge battle in January to secure his signature, with Bayern hoping that the Ivory Coast international decides to relocate to Germany.
