Manchester City and Bayern Munich are both ready to rival Liverpool in their pursuit to sign Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski.
According to reports from Italian outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is particularly keen to sign the player, but he may be forced to wait until the next summer transfer window.
Zielinski has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the past, but Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also believed to be keeping tabs on the player.
The Italian reports all-but rule out any chance of a move in January, with Napoli desperate for the player to see out the season in Serie A, but they do hint at a summer move.
It had been claimed that the player was due to sign a new deal in Naples, so the Reds may have to act quickly to get their man.
When it became clear that the player would be leaving Udinese back in 2016, Liverpool were keen to bring him to the Premier League, but now interest is mounting in his services.
