Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and Barcelona target Frenkie De Jong will reportedly be sold next summer by Ajax for an eye-watering €75 million.
According to reports in Spain, both Spurs and Barcelona, who have had bids for the midfielder turned down but could land the player during the next summer transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men had been hoping to fend off interest from the Bundesliga with a €50 million bid for the player, but Ajax were refusing to sell.
After being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the summer, Spurs joined the race to sign De Jong late, while Dortmund are also now known admirers.
The Dutch international is very highly thought of in the Eredivisie and was widely expected to move on this summer.
A deal worth the reported €75 million for De Jong would eclipse Tottenham’s previous move to sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax, for what was a reported €42 million.
