Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has spoken of his desire to see Michy Batshuayi join the club on a permanent basis from Chelsea, ESPN report.
The Belgian striker has been in good form since making the loan switch from Stamford Bridge and has popped up on numerous occasions to salvage results for Dortmund.
Batshuayi was recruited by the Bundesliga outfit as a temporary replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who completed a big-money move to Arsenal at the end of the January transfer window.
Reus has been impressed by Batshuayi and his instant impact with Dortmund and has urged the club to pursue the player on a permanent deal.
I’d be very pleased if Michy were to stay. He’s shown how important he can be for us. It’s clear that we will have a good setup for this position next season.
Batshuayi is enjoying life in Germany and has found his feet whilst playing under Peter Stoger. The Dortmund boss is rewarding the ex-Marseille man with some much-needed regular first-team football and he is reaping the rewards.
Chelsea are sure to demand a sizable fee for Batshuayi, though, if they do allow him to depart Stamford Bridge this summer. They recruited him from Marseille for a sum upwards of £30m, and will surely be keen to recoup most of this outlay.
