Despite not making a single appearance for Borussia Dortmund so far this season due to a long-term knee injury, Marco Reus is still being linked with a move away from the club with Liverpool interested.
Reus has a well-documented injury history and the Germany international hasn’t featured for Dortmund since last May when he tore his ACL.
The winger has successfully completed his rehab and is working his way back to full fitness and could return to the field for Dortmund later this month, with Liverpool ready to revive their interest should he rediscover his best form in the final months of the season.
Speaking about Reus’ future, Dortmund coach Peter Stoger is hopeful that the attacker will remain at the club beyond this season, stating that everyone at Dortmund wants him to stay.
It doesn’t matter if I remain the coach or my successor arrives, everyone will naturally wish Marco will stay at Dortmund for a long time.
Reus turns 29 in may and has scored 89 goals in 189 career appearances for Borussia Dortmund and has seen a number of teammates leave the club for bigger and better things during his time there.
