Jann-Fiete Arp has been a headline maker in the Bundesliga this season for Hamburg after becoming the first player born in the 21st century to net in the German top flight and interest in him certainly continued to grow.
The 18-year-old has scored twice in 11 Bundesliga appearances so far this season and is regarded as one of the next great German talents coming through the ranks and there is a great deal of Premier League interest in him.
One of the clubs most keen on recruiting the teenager is Tottenham, with the Guardian noting that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino ‘cannot take his eyes off’ the striker.
Sitting 17th in the Bundesliga right now, Hamburg are at severe risk of relegation and if they cannot avoid the drop then Arp, one of the most coveted young players in Europe today, could be available for a cut-price fee.
Chelsea were believed to be closing in on a deal for Arp earlier in the winter, claims that the striker has denied, while Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton have all also been linked with a move by the Mirror.
