Arsenal is looking at Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez if he leaves in January, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
Aubameyang has been linked last month to defending Premier League champions Chelsea, while rivals Manchester City and Liverpool were rumoured to be interested in the 28-year-old.
Now Arsenal may join the race to sign the Gabonese international as it looks increasingly more likely that Alexis Sanchez will leave the club this month.
Dortmund has had to discipline its star striker this season, with rumours circulating that the club was going to look into selling him, as well as Aubameyang being unhappy at the team.
However before Christmas Aubameyang took to Twitter to hit back at the claims, as details of a previously unknown contract extension became public.
Aubameyang has so far scored 21 goals in 23 games across all competitions, 13 of which has been in the Bundesliga. He has either scored or assisted a goal in each of his last six games.
