Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang thought in the summer that he would finally complete his long-awaited big-money move away from Borussia Dortmund but for one reason or another, it failed to materialise.
Proposed mega-transfers to PSG and Tianjin Quanjin fell through and despite rumoured interest from the likes of AC Milan and Chelsea, Aubameyang remained at Dortmund.
His desire to leave Dortmund is still there and that, coupled with the club’s nose-diving form, has left the striker with little choice but to secure a transfer in the January transfer window, say Bild.
It’s believed that Dortmund are prepared to listen to offers in the region of €60m (£54m) for the 28-year-old striker who finished as the Bundesliga top scorer last season with 31 goals.
Already with 17 in 19 games this term, including 11 in 12 Bundesliga appearances, Aubameyang remains one of Europe’s most clinical centre-forwards and Liverpool could be tempted to revive their interest in him amid claims that Daniel Sturridge could leave in January.
