Hamburg are set to offer Japanese star Tatsuya Ito a new deal in an attempt to fend off interest from European giants Inter Milan and Manchester City, talkSPORT report.
Ito, 20, has been with the Bundesliga side since 2015, where he joined the youth academy. The winger has impressed during the start of the Bundesliga season and his performances haven’t gone under the radar, with the player catching the eye of Inter Milan and Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Hamburg are hoping that the Japanese international will put pen to paper on a new deal, consequently seeing off interest from the two interested parties, who look set to make an offer for the player if a deal isn’t signed by January.
The midfielders current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and will be free to talk to other European clubs in January if the player doesn’t sign a new deal, and could potentially sign a pre-agreement contract with Inter Milan or Manchester City.
