Tottenham are eyeing up a potential move for Freiburg forward Maximilian Philipp, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has scored nine league goals last year as Freiburg have had a very good first season back in the top-flight. They’re guaranteed a top eight finish and they could even end the campaign as high as fifth if results go their way on the final week of the Bundesliga season.

Philipp is comfortable playing on either flank, as a central striker or as an attacking midfielder and would fit right into the Spurs squad, providing some much-needed depth as they look to compete for both the Premier League and the Champions League.

RB Leipzig are also interested in the forward which could be a potential stumbling block for Spurs if they do decide to make a move for him.
