According to CNN Turk, Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup will have a number of potential suitors in the summer, with there being a strong interest from the Bundesliga as well as from a number of Europe’s top leagues.

Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach, Schalke, Hannover, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg will all have scouts in attendance during Besiktas’s Europa League quarter-final clash with Lyon tonight, with eyes firmly on Ozyakup.

They’re not alone in their scouting mission as representatives from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Aston Villa, West Ham, Southampton, West Ham, PSV, Twente and Anderlecht will all be in attendance for the game, with all looking to take notes on Ozyakup and a number of other talents on display.

In addition, Manchester United, Arsenal, Sevilla and Roma are also keeping tabs on Ozyakup’s progress but will not be scouting him against Lyon.

Ozyakup came through the Arsenal academy as a teenager but struggled to break into the first-team squad before agreeing to a move to Besiktas where he has found fine form, earning him a regular place in the Turkey international squad.

The 24-year-old would count as a ‘home grown’ player by virtue of spending three or more years in the Gunners academy before he turned 21, which is a plus for any interested Premier League side.
