The future of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still very much up in the air and despite rumours which suggest that he wants to continue for at least one more season, reports in Germany suggest that the Gunners hierarchy are already sounding out possible replacements.
According to a report in BILD, Arsenal have already approached Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to land their boss Thomas Tuchel.
The 43-year-old took over the reigns at Dortmund back in 2015 after Jurgen Klopp’s departure and he’s made a name for himself as one of the brightest young coaches in European football.
The uncertainty over Wenger’s future is like a cloud hanging over Arsenal and the reported approach for Tuchel could be nothing more than the Gunners board doing their due diligence incase the Frenchman leaves.
However, there are plenty of Arsenal fans who are hoping that the club decide to move on from Wenger and will see this reported approach as a positive development.
