Freiburg star Caglar Soyuncu has been scouted by Manchester United in the recent past and when asked about the possibility of a move to the Premier League in the future, he said he’d like to work under Jose Mourinho.

He said:

I admire Jose Mourinho, not just his football but his philosophy. I would like to work with him in the future.

The 20-year-old joined Freiburg from Altinordu last May and has made 17 appearances for his new club this season.

He is predominantly a central defender but he’s also able to play in a defensive midfield role.

Obviously, most, if not all Freiburg players would jump at the chance to join Manchester United so his comments should come as little surprise, although there are reportedly a lot of other clubs keeping tabs on his development.

Lille, Manchester City, Roma, and Villarreal have all had scouts watching the 20-year-old in recent weeks and if United do decide that they want him, they might face competition.

In that instance, the Turkish international’s desire to work with Mourinho could give United an advantage.
