Bayern Munich are set to launch a bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli this summer, according to The Times.
The Englishman is wanted by the German giants and they’re reportedly willing to bid the £85million asking price.
Since joining Spurs, his stock has risen considerably, growing into one of Spurs’ most important players under Mauricio Pochettino.
He only recently signed a new contract at White Hart Lane, a five-year one at that, so prising him away from London won’t be easy.
The 20-year-old England international is probably one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League currently, excelling on all levels for someone at such a tender age.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is supposedly considering a change in the club’s wage structure to accommodate Dele and to help Spurs persuade him to stay.
As it stands, no player can earn over £100,000-a-week and with the competition in Europe who would surely be willing to pay him more, it could be a shrewd move by Tottenham.
With eyeballs glaring and chequebooks readying, it remains to be seen what will happen, but it’s certainly one to watch out for over the coming months.
