Bayern Munich have planned talks with Spanish giants Real Madrid over a deal for Omar Mascarell.
AS claim that the soon-to-be Bayern manager Niko Kovac has requested the player to be signed this summer.
Mascarell has impressed under Kovac at Eintracht Frankfurt, which has prompted Madrid into exercising their buy-back clause.
The midfielder is widely expected to leave Frankfurt for a return to the Bernabeu for as little as €4 million.
This has not stopped Bayern entering the race to sign him this summer and the Bavarian side are already planning talks with Madrid over a deal.
Kovas is keen to bring the player with him to Bayern Munich, meaning Madrid could make a quick profit on the player this summer.
It is yet to be seen whether or not Mascarell has a future at Madrid or not and the report suggests it could depend on who is in charge of the club next season.
