Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner is reportedly a target to become the next Borussia Dortmund manager, according to the Mirror.
He remains heavily thought of at his former club where he ran the B team while Jurgen Klopp was in charge of the first-team squad.
The club’s hierarchy are having growing concerns about where the club are going on the pitch after a tough spell since Klopp has moved to Liverpool and are looking for a managerial replacement.
Since taking over at Huddersfield, Wagner has guided the Terriers to the Premier League against all expectations and earned plenty of admirers along the way.
Peter Stoger took charge of the club earlier this season, replacing Peter Bosv, who failed to impress during his brief stint in the Bundesliga.
The German side are some way off Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and face a battle to stay in the Europa League following their surprise defeat against Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
