Manchester City has made informal contact with the advisor of SC Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu according to Bild.

The German outlet says that Mustafa Dogru, advisor to Soyuncu, confirmed to Radio Spor that Man City had a talk about the 21-year-old, however there were no negotiations about a move to the Premier League.

Under former Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola, Manchester City has a large 15 point lead with 16 games left to play in the 2017/18 Premier League season. Local rivals Manchester United are the closest side to them.

In the summer of 2016 Soyuncu joined SC Freiburg from Turkish side Altinordu. He currently has over three years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side.

Freiburg currently sits 13th in the Bundesliga. Currently level on points with VfL Wolfsburg and four points above the relegation zone, the club currently has the second worst goal difference in the league with -14.
