Bayern Munich will find out whether or not they have won the race to sign Leon Goretzka in January, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona also interested.

Goal report that the player will confirm his next move in the new year with his contract due to expire with Schalke.

The German international is attracting interest from several teams around Europe after being unable to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Bundesliga side.

There doesn’t exist a deadline, but I think we are in the final phase. The final decision will be made in January.

Barcelona and Bayern have been heavily linked with a move for the midfielder, while Liverpool have also been touted as a possible destination in the past.

The in-demand 22-year-old will be free to discuss contract terms with clubs from January onwards ahead of a summer move.

Schalke have been desperate to keep the player, who has scored four times in 11 league appearances this season, at the club, but they now look set to lose their man.
