Borussia Dortmund’s summer signing Jadon Sancho had agreed on fresh contract terms at Manchester City before he moved to the Bundesliga, according to the Mail Online.

Sancho was one of City’s hottest youth prospects and won player of the tournament at this summer’s European U17 Championship.

The England youth player was set to be part of City’s US tour before being brought into the first-team squad on a regular basis.

We offered him a huge deal and we shook hands. But before we went to the States, he said ‘I am not going to sign’.

Sancho decided to stay in Manchester during the pre-season tour and stopped turning up to training when the squad arrived back in the UK.

In the last two or three weeks he didn’t appear in the training sessions. He should come but he didn’t. We tried a lot. We met the father and his manager but if the player says ‘no, no, no, no, no’, what can we do?

Borussia Dortmund have given Sancho the number seven suggesting that he maybe a first-team regular going forward this season.

However, the player was not named in Dortmund’s Champions Leauge squad.
