Liverpool have agreed a fee with RB Leipzig to sign midfielder Naby Keita, although the move will not go through until the summer of 2018.

In what seems like a clever piece of business, the Reds have paid more than the £48 million release clause that was in Keita’s contract next year to ensure that they got their man ahead of any other interested parties.
Liverpool tried to get Keita earlier in the window but RB Leipzig would not let him leave at any cost.
However, the player had a clause in his contract that comes into effect next summer and Liverpool have paid over that amount to ensure he’s at Anfield next year.
