Stuttgart are set to sign Leicester City’s number two, Ron-Robert Zieler in a deal worth around €4 million, according to Kicker, as cited on Sport Witness.

Zieler has reportedly become annoyed at his lack of game time following the return of Kasper Schmeichel from injury midway through the season, and now Leicester are sure of keeping hold of their Danish international, a transfer for Zieler is apparently ‘concrete’.

A medical is reportedly taking place and the aforementioned fee has already been agreed. Zieler is prepared to take a pay cut in order to return to Germany just a year after he left to join Leicester.

Following a season on the sidelines, Zieler’s chances of making Germany’s World Cup squad in Russia 2018 have severely dwindled and he is now looking to put himself back in contention with a move back to Bundesliga and the promise of first-team football.

Zieler made only 11 appearances for Leicester last season, filling in for Schmeichel during Dane’s respective groin and hand injuries, and playing only 963 minutes in a period that saw the Foxes continue their dramatic slip down the Premier League table.
