Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United and Chelsea target James Rodriguez on a two-year loan deal.

The club confirmed they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid that will include the option to buy the Colombian at the end of the deal.

The midfielder will join up with his new teammates as part of the squad’s pre-season tour to China and Singapore on Sunday.

Rodriguez has been linked with moves away from the club throughout the summer after falling out of favour in Madrid.

The Colombian worked with Carlo Ancelotti during his time in charge at the Bernabeu.
