Joshua Kimmich is one of the brightest young talents in the Bundesliga today but his time at Bayern Munich appears to be coming to an end.

According to Stuttgarter Zeitung, Kimmich will be leaving Bayern when the summer transfer window opens, with Red Bull Leipzig and Manchester City leading the race for his signature.

It’s understood that Kimmich is frustrated with being named on the bench rather than the starting eleven under Carlo Ancelotti and would like to leave the Allainz Arena to seek regular first-team football.

Under contract until 2020, Kimmich has only started 15 Bundesliga games this season and doesn’t want to risk another season being a bit-part player for the German champions.

Former club RB Leipzig and Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola who brought him to Bayern Munich, are the two clubs most likely to sign the midfielder in the summer.
