Alexis Sanchez has firmly cemented himself as one of few truly world class players in football today and is poised to become one of the most sought-after players around when the transfer window opens.

With just one year left on his contract at Arsenal, Sanchez has been linked with several top clubs in Europe, including the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG, but according to Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi, Bayern Munich are leading the race.

It’s believed that Sanchez has given the green light to push through a move to Bayern Munich and it’s now down between the Bundesliga champions and Arsenal to hammer out a deal.

Persuading Arsenal to deal with another Premier League rival seems to be a long-shot, essentially ruling out Chelsea and Manchester City this summer, but should he stay put and leave on a free next year then they’re back in the running.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners in a £36m deal from Barcelona in 2014 and has contributed 68 goals and 42 assists in 141 appearances for the club, including 26 goals and 19 assists this season.
