When his contract expires in June, left-back Sead Kolasinac is expected to call time on his career with Schalke and make a lucrative move to a big European club.

The likes of Chelsea, Juventus and Liverpool have all been mentioned as suitors for the Bosnian defender, but it’s Arsenal who lead the chase for his services.

Italian news source Transfermarketweb claim that the Gunners edging closer and closer to agreeing a long-term contract with Kolasinac that will see him move to the Emirates in the summer.

That being said, the report claims that other European clubs are keeping tabs on the situation in case the 23-year-old has second thoughts over joining Arsenal, and local rivals Tottenham are one of the clubs best placed to hijack any potential transfer.

Kolasinac has provided seven assists as well as netting three times himself in 31 appearances this season and is widely expected to put pen-to-paper on a contract with Arsenal in the coming weeks, despite speculation of outside interest.
