Liverpool will face the prospect of a ‘straight shoot-out’ with Bayern Munich for the signature of Christian Pulisic.

The Liverpool Echo, who quote the Mirror, are reporting that the two clubs are the frontrunners for the player, who has impressed in a youthful Borussia Dortmund side.

Jurgen Klopp will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the 18-year-old is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

The Reds face a struggle to land the young winger, with Dortmund likely to lose striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, they’re keen to keep hold of Pulisic.

Bayern have already begun planning for next season after agreeing deals to sign Sebastian Rudy Niklas Sule. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been known to challenge for the best talent in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund boast one of the finest young squads in Europe at the moment, with the likes of Pulisic, Mario Gotze, Ousmane Dembele and Raphael Guerreiro to name a few.
