Arsenal and Inter Milan target Ricardo Rodriquez has suffered an injury setback that looks set to keep him sidelined for five weeks.

According to Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato, the defender ruptured ligaments in his right foot that initially appeared to be more severe than reports have suggested.

The defender, who has a €22 million release clause is a target for both Arsenal and Milan are a string of impressive performances for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, despite their poor form this season.

Rodriquez may be keen to leave in the summer with the club languishing close to the relegation zone in Germany.

Inter Milan are thought to be the favourites to sign the defender but Arsenal remain interested in the Swiss international.

Known for his ability from dead ball situations and set pieces, it’s easy to see why he’s in-demand.

The 24-year-old has scored twice already this season and set up a further three from his left-back position.
